Free Construction Software You Can Use in a Browser

Free construction software is only useful if the word free is precise. This page states exactly what FastBuild provides at no cost today, so you can decide whether it fits before you create an account.
What the free plan includes. Attendance tracking with clock-in and clock-out, task management, reports and analytics, and notifications. The plan is limited by the numbers published on the pricing page: attendance tracking up to 5 employees, task management up to 10 tasks, reports and analytics 1, and notifications. You open FastBuild in a browser; there is nothing to install, and no credit card is requested.
What the free plan does not include. GPS attendance and geofencing, file attachments, offline mode, and payroll processing are part of paid plans. Those paid plans are not currently purchasable: FastBuild is a browser-based web app and there are no App Store or Google Play listings yet, so the paid plans cannot be bought today. If GPS verification or payroll processing is the reason you are looking, the honest answer is that FastBuild does not offer them on the free plan and is not selling the plans that do.
What it can realistically replace. For a small crew, the free plan replaces the two things that are usually spreadsheets: the attendance record and the task list. Instead of a shared sheet that is updated at the end of the week, check-in and check-out are recorded in the browser, and tasks are attached to a job site so the crew can see what is in progress.
What it is not. FastBuild is not an enterprise project controls platform. There is no plan viewing, no RFI or submittal workflow, and no budget or change-order module. It is a workforce and operations tool for small construction teams, and it is deliberately narrower than that category.
How to evaluate it. Create the company, invite the crew, clock in at a site, assign two or three tasks, and generate a report. If the free limits are too small for your crew, the pricing page lists the plans that lift them, together with the current availability status of each.
