Use one sheet per site per day. Every person who enters the site signs in, which gives you a same-day attendance record and a defensible answer to who was on site if something changes.

How to use it
- Complete the header — Write the project, the jobsite, the date and the supervising person.
- Sign in on arrival — Each worker records their name, employer, trade and arrival time. Visitors use the same sheet.
- Close the sheet — Record departure times, total the hours, and keep the sheet with the site record for the day.
Completed example
The example shows a day with two employers on one site: three framers from one crew and two electricians from a subcontractor, with arrival, departure and break times that produce the total hours column.

- Who should sign a jobsite sign-in sheet?
- Everyone who enters the site: your own workers, subcontractors, delivery drivers and visitors. The employer column is what lets you separate your crew from another company's.
- Can this be filled in digitally?
- The XLSX version can be completed on a laptop or tablet and printed. If you want the record captured automatically at the site, that is what FastBuild attendance does.

Paper sign-in sheets only work if somebody collects them
