The Problem

Field teams are accountable for attendance, progress and daily documentation, but the tools they are given are fragmented and disconnected from the office.

The Outcome

FastBuild connects the field day into one loop: attendance at the site, tasks updated as work progresses, and a daily report generated from the same records.

Field operations software is judged by a simple test: does it reduce the work a field team has to do, or add to it? Tools that create a second set of records, separate from the real work, get abandoned.

FastBuild is built so the field workflow produces its own documentation. A worker checks in at the site with GPS validation, and the attendance record exists without anyone writing a timesheet. A task is updated as the work moves, and the progress record exists without a separate status report. At the end of the day, the daily report is generated from those records: attendance, hours, completed tasks, GPS exceptions, and notes.

The field team's loop is short: check in, move the tasks, review the report, close the day. Because the office reads from the same records, the foreman is not asked to re-explain the day by phone or text.

For teams working across multiple sites, the same records answer where each worker was and which site the hours belong to. For crews that report to a general contractor, the daily report is a document the team already produced.

FastBuild runs in the browser on the phones the crew carries, with no native app to install, and is currently free to use.
