A subcontractor manages two things at once: the work promised to the general contractor, and the crew that performs it. The general contractor's systems track the project. They rarely track your labor in a way you can use for your own payroll.

The practical problems are familiar. Hours are written on paper and handed to the general contractor, but the copy that reaches your office is late or incomplete. Disputes about site attendance are settled by memory. Payroll has to be reconstructed from whatever record survived the week.

FastBuild keeps the record on your side. You register the jobsite with its location and geofence. Your crew checks in and out at the site. The session carries a timestamp and a GPS validation, and out-of-range check-ins become flagged exceptions you can review. Tasks are tracked per site so the work you were contracted to do stays visible. The daily report documents the day from your records. At period end, your hours become payroll in your own system.

That gives a subcontractor an independent, verifiable attendance record for the work it performed, without depending on the general contractor's reporting.
